Hifolks, I have had my audi for 4 weeks, and today took it to the garage for the following symptoms: Cannot engage 1st gear (happens randomly 3 tims a week avg) red line is 4500 revs, but powr drops at 3800 revs thirsty beast i am told I need a new clutch and flywheel (warrany thank god)

TheKKK turbos are known for this issue. Most replace the actuator and find it works fine for a while as the motor is new, but then fails again. Finally before fitting a new item mark the current position, loosen the 3 10mm bolts and move the actuator fully a few times, set back to home position and tighten the bolts.

MyB8 3.0 TDI makes 312hp and 720Nm but has a decent size FMIC and a GTB2260 standard turbo which is better than the BV50. A hybrid turbo will definately give you a good deal more power at the expense of driveability. You wont get the same response as you do with the BV50.
